Does core temperature rise during pregnancy?

Hello all, just wondering if people's core temperature rose during pregnancy and continued on months after having bub? I expected to be warmer when I was pregnant but now I'm 4 months post-partum and I need the fan on to sleep and when I exercise my face turns beet-red?!
