Swing by "Meet the Machines" on Saturday, September 21, from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum - The Downs, where you can get up close with some impressive machinery. Ever dreamed of taking a tractor for a spin or having a go on a mower? Now's your chance to live out your farming fantasies while the kids hop aboard and take the wheel. You know they'll be beaming with joy, probably making you a tad envious in the process. We've also got all-terrain vehicles for the adventurous souls; who wouldn't want to feel like a landscape legend for a day?

For the little ones, there's a fun zone loaded with toy vehicles on our arboretum play map. It's the perfect setup for miniature traffic jams among the trees, which is basically the Olympic sport of kid fun. This event is designed for families with kids aged three and up, and well-behaved dogs on leads are more than welcome to join the chaos. So gather up the crew for a day of muddy boots, happy little drivers, and plenty of smiles—there's no need to bring your own bulldozer; we've got all the heavy machinery you could possibly need.
